The goals of Early Childhood Two are to further develop in children a love for God, an increasing understanding of who God is and what he has done for them, and a desire to please him as they learn aspects of his character and the world he has made. These goals will be accomplished through daily modeling by teachers and implementation of the curriculum, which enhances children’s development across critical domains—cognitive, language, numeracy, motor, social, and spiritual— through group and individual activities that inspire curiosity and problem-solving.
Teacher Manual includes student learning goals for critical domains, EC2 scope and sequence, daily lesson plan template, schedule and activity descriptions, general classroom guidelines and instructions on how to prepare and implement the components of the EC2 curriculum, ABC Covenant Words key word stories (part of pre-literacy instruction), tips for managing transitions and student behavior, examples of student learning center activities, and an appendix containing songs, finger plays, poems, and chants.
