The goal of Grade Level 5 Maths is to train students to think mathematically, to develop mathematical reasoning, skills, and efficient problem solving. Instruction pursues mastery through systematic sequencing of concepts explored in concrete, pictorial, and abstract terms. Some concepts in the GL5 course include mental math; estimations; ratio; mastery of arithmetic operations; geometry and use measurement tools; graphing; fractions, decimals and percentages; square numbers and square roots; negative numbers, greatest common factors. 

Each lesson follows a similar pattern: readiness and review, new skill instruction, guided and independent practice, and review.  

Set includes: 

Maths Teacher Text, a three-volume set, includes unit instruction, student worksheets with answer keys, extra practice worksheets and answer keys, student assessments, and masters for flash card sets A, B, and C. Each lesson includes student learning objectives, biblical worldview integration, a list of necessary materials, vocabulary terms, an introduction with background information, step-by-step instructions on teaching the concepts (group practice, guided practice, independent practice), assessments, and suggestions for lesson extensions or modifications. 

Maths Student Text are consumable worksheets for guided and independent practice and math facts automaticity. 

Math Flash Card Sets, printed on cardstock, aid with fluency in math facts: Set A (addition and subtraction), Set B (multiplication and division), Set C (fractions, multiplication, and division).
